POSTPONED / Commonweal Open House 2021

Renew | Reopen | Reunite: POSTPONED

Dear Friends of Commonweal,

It has been over two years since we opened our Bolinas home to the Commonweal community. We had hoped to invite you back to Commonweal on Sept 19 for an Open House to mark a time of renewal, reopening, and reuniting. However the increasing rates of COVID in the Bay Area and the challenges that wildfire smoke present to outdoor activities led us to decide to wait until Spring when we hope the circumstances might improve.

Together we are learning to navigate the complexities of these times. Commonweal will continue to provide programs online and in small groups in Health & Healing, Environment & Justice, and Arts & Education. Look around on our website for links to the different events offered by Commonweal programs.

We look forward to having you come visit Commonweal in Bolinas when it is safe for all of our community members,

With gratitude,

Oren Slozberg, Executive Director
Doron Hovav, Events and Database Coordinator

We invite you to help us celebrate re-opening the Commonweal land to in-person engagement!

  • Learn more about Commonweal and our programs, and meet program directors and staff
  • Join in a ritual on the land to honor the land and to mark our coming out of isolation.
  • Walk the land or join in a walking tour.
  • Tour the Commonweal Garden

Commonweal is a center for learning and research, transformation and discovery. Our programs work in the areas of health & healing; education & the arts; and environment & justice. We are located in Bolinas, California, on land that is part of the Point Reyes National Seashore.

The Commonweal Open House is a special, once-every-other-year event, when all of our programs gather to share their work with our community.
