Commonweal is moving toward an intergenerational leadership to create a team of directors and managers that will steward Commonweal and its programs into the next decade. The Strategy and Development Manager will work closely with the development team, the management team, board, and Executive Director to ensure that Commonweal builds a sustainable foundation and a regenerative program and funding structure.

The Strategy and Development Manager will be the point person for the Commonweal board and advisory board, and will collaborate with the Commonweal leadership team to implement new development strategies. Also, the Strategy and Development Manager will partake in our strategic thinking processes to deepen and extend Commonweal program work in a sustainable and regenerative way.

Gathering Coordinator – January 2020 (click to read job description) ~THIS SEARCH HAS BEEN POSTPONED~

The Gathering Program is a monthly Saturday gathering at Commonweal in Bolinas that offers a space/container for people to engage in conversations and experiences in a diverse intergenerational community. Areas of engagements can include the New Story, Eco-grief, resilience, meaning and purpose, healing circles, and other topics that emerge from the community. Community participants will come from the Fall Gathering, other Commonweal programs and the general community. Saturday program will include morning sessions, simple lunch (salad, soup and bread), a two-mile hike, and closing circles. The program is free to participants.

We are looking for a part time coordinator (8 hours a week) to manage the program, including outreach, partnerships, logistics, and guests. The ideal coordinator will be networked in different Bay Area communities and live in the region. For more info send a letter and/or a resume to
