Join us in welcoming Bolinas Artist Ann Hogle to Gallery Commonweal, and opening her show, Transitions.

Ann Hogle was born in San Francisco in 1927 and grew up in Southern California and later Oregon. She studied art at the University of Oregon and the Portland Art Museum School. She earned her Masters at CCAC (now known as CCA). She painted in the Bay Area figurative style until the 70s when she turned to the landscape and did large 6 foot paintings from her pick up truck. She showed for many years with the William Sawyer Gallery in San Francisco and later with SPUR in Portola Valley. She has lived in Woodside and Portola Valley for over 50 years and Bolinas for 20 years. Hogle is in the permanent collections of a number of museums and numerous private collections.

Her show will be on exhibit through March 30. No RSVP necessary. Please note that Gallery Commonweal is on the 2nd floor, and unfortunately no elevator is available.
