About The Institute for the Study of Health and Illness
The Institute for the Study of Health and Illness (ISHI) was founded and is directed by Rachel Naomi Remen, MD. Dr Remen is also the Medical Director of the Commonweal Cancer Help Program and Clinical Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. ISHI is accredited by the California Medical Association's Institute of Medical Quality to provide Category 1 continuing medical education credit to participating physicians, and by the California Board of Registered Nurses to offer continuing education credit to nurses.
